Are you an AA 'member' ? And I'm not talking of those that help you if you that may have a drinkie problem.....
How long have you been made to wait ?
When someone turns up are they polite , do they know what they are doing ?
I'm sure there are many occasions where your breakdown experience has left you in a calm state of mind , but what about those instances where your experience has NOT left you emotionally unscathed |

I have to say I have had good luck with the AA. Did you know that if you get a flat tyre or just need to buy a tyre you can call a special number and they will bring one to you and the cost is really good.I read it in the newspaper. I have not used this service but the article gave the prices and they were VERY good. The last time they came I needed a battery. They went to the supplier they use after calling them for a price, fetched the battery, came back and put it in. The auto supply store called me direct and I paid for it buy switch and the AA man brought the receipt back for me. He also bought some sealant for my leaking sun roof and put that on for me. I know people who have had trouble with RAC and getting ripped off for the cost of Batteries, but this one, from the AA was cheaper than Halfords!!! I have never waited more than an hour for them, even if they come to my home. Would be interested to hear any woes. Maybe I am in the minority?? |

That's good news that your experience turned out like that .
But did you know that the AA patrols are supposed to supply batteries from their own van ?
If you didn't get an AA receipt you will probably find that you have been had , as some AA patrols have a thing going with car spares outlets where YOU pay for the part , weather it's by card or cash , and the patrol goes back and is given a "tip" by the outlet for bringing him the custom .
Now if your battery fails you have to go back to this outlet to deal with the claim .
If you buy direct via the AA there's no such problem as your AA receipt will allow you a direct replacement .... |

Thanks for the tip. The driver did not have the right battery and I have the receipt and Guarantee and the AA paperwork too. Good point you made. Although It worked for me others should take your point and make sure they "dont get had". I am sure there are some real "nightmares" out there |
