Let me hear from you ..Tell EVERYONE who your cowboy builder is and what they have done. The only way to stop them is to name them.
If you have a builder/contractor/ who comes highly recommended why not recommend them to others. This will help all of us and why not reward those who are honest, do quality work all within a resonable price. Do Not forget AFTERCARE..which is very important as well as a good job.
So........ It is now over to all of you.....Lets Name em and Shame em!!!!! Or Give those a Pat on the Back if you would like to recommend them. Word of mouth is more powerful than any advertisement anyone can buy!

VP Fox was paid thousands to carry out our loft conversion and decorate. He came recommended by someone we know (though not very well). Apparently he'd worked in Amsterdam for a couple of years bt before that did some good work for someone they knew.. Must have been the last time he ever did cos it's been a farce since the beginning. Shoddy boarding, intermittent work broken up by supposed illness. Arguments between Fox and the plasterers.

He promised delivery for October half term - no way. Then wrote a week by week schedule for November. The ink had barely dried and he was behind schedule, left us arrogant and downright impolite notes such as he 'would probably die on this job'.

This weekend the roof leaked onto the first floor ceiling, thru the floor onto the ground floor entrance, entering near the electrics. He has now left his wife and disappeared off the face of the earth - with a hell of a lot of our money. We have small children and Xmas is round the corner. We have to sleep in the front room as our bedroom is too cold.

He is believed to be in either Wakefield or Holland (Amsterdam?) and we are campaigning to catch this weasel (the aptly-named 'sly' FOX) and bring him to justice. This has caused us untold misery.
